Dear Guests,
We offer pampering nail treatments for your hands and feet. We are proud to be germ-a-phobes, and we're extra cautious when it comes to your safety so that you can feel confident and truly relax. We feel we offer some of the safest nail treatments in the Lehigh Valley! Here are some of the hygiene and sanitation practices you can expect to find when you visit us...and why.
Dual "Washing of Hands" - Before beginning each service, all nail technicians disinfect their hands with an antibacterial liquid cleanser. This helps prevent the spread of common germs. If you are having a manicure, your technician or a salon assistant will instruct you on the proper hand washing technique required before your service using a disinfected nail brush. This protocol is a State requirement for your safety.
Metal Implements Sealed & Sterilized - All metal implements that we use are sterilized in the same kind of medical grade autoclave that they use in doctor's and dentist's offices. Sterilization is the only solution for killing 100% of all microscopic organisms - bacteria (and bacterial spores) viruses, and funguses. Autoclaving represents the highest level of sterilization and is standard procedure at medical facilities in accordance with AMA, FDA,and EPA guidelines, but is a rarity in the nail salon world. The implements for your service are sealed in a sterile pouch that is opened at the start of your service. We dispose of anything that we can't sterilize. These practices help us exceed Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology professional standards, which we feel are very much behind the times concerning your safety.
No Whirlpool Foot Baths - The Center for Disease Control issued guidelines against whirlpool foot baths in 2001 because they are a breeding ground for fortuitum (a micobacteria that causes boils on the legs). If whirlpool foot spa filters are not cleaned after each service, serious skin infections can develop. Why take the risk? At the Stone House we soak your feet in modern stainless steel sinks that are quick and easy to disinfect between customers!
No Razors or Reusable Foot Files - The use of a razor (called a "Credo" blade) to remove calluses is against our state regulations. The razor blades themselves are never sterile, so when injuries happen, and they do, there is an increase in the chance of infection. The foot files we use for effective callus sloughing have two parts to them, the stainless steel handle that is sterilized in the autoclave, and the removable grit files that are disposed of and replaced before use on each customer.
Ongoing Disinfecting of Sinks and Tabletops - For everyone's health and safety, our services are timed so that we can clean and properly disinfect salon surfaces between clients with hospital-grade solutions to remove debris, kill bacteria, and prevent the spread of germs. So, please be on time for your nail service so that you can experience it's full benefit. If you are late, or you have particularly troublesome nails/feet that need extra attention, some portions of your service, such as the massage or scrub, may be shortened so that our technicians can perform safe disinfection routines between clients and remain on schedule.
Diabetic Customers - Any client that is diabetic and would like to have a pedicure is required to have a consultation and provide a "History and Personal Evaluation" before we can provide a specialized diabetic pedicure service.
Peaceful Manicures/Pedicures - Are you completely stressed-out, and would you like to enjoy your service in peace and quiet? We understand, and we are more than happy to comply. We will not chat with you while you are relaxing during your service. Please just let us know. We will only interrupt your quiet time if we have an important question concerning your service!

Add innovative Healing Therapy Serum Gloves or Boots to any Service - High quality skin revitalizing treatment for hands or feet, containing natural botanicals. Warming mitts or booties are applied over the serum gloves or boots to help the serum permeate the top three layers of skin for deep conditioning. Gloves and Boots are hypoallergenic, fragrance free, earth friendly bio-degradable, and they are infused with hazelnut, safflower and grapeseed oils, vitamins A & E. Adds 20 minutes to a service.

"Hard Gel" Enhancements - Fingernails and Toenails
We use odorless "hard gel" technology for strong, flexible nail enhancements that look so real that they can be worn without polish! These are the longest lasting type of nail enhancement, and an alternative to acrylic nails. They require regular maintenance rebalancing or "fills" every 2-3 weeks for fingernails and every 4-6 weeks for toenails.
These gel enhancements reinforce and protect your own natural fingernails as they grow to your desired length - we do not do tips or sculpture new nail lengths on fingernails. Your natural nail is under the entire length of the enhancement as your nails grow.
Hard gel enhancements can be used to create perfect toenails with a smooth-as-glass finish. These give a really strong finish to the nails to withstand a rigorous vacation schedule - lots of walking or a sandy beach will not dull this finish! Also great for refining "less than perfect" toenails. A gel coating can also help to prevent ingrown toenails, and they can be done on just one or two toes if needed - an excellent way to combat this uncomfortable problem with reported great results.
Hard gel enhancements are UV light-cured, non-porous, do not stain and don't turn yellow in the sun. This type of coating does not soak off. It can only be removed by filing off professionally either with an electric file or by hand filing.

"Stones and Roses" Spa Pedicure
You are only "a stones throw away" from total bliss. Try our most indulgent pedicure service. Your journey begins with
a cleanse, inspection, then an aromatic soak. Toenails are shaped and filed, cuticle work is done with care, and calluses and dry heels are history. Feet and lower legs are treated to an aromatic scrub, a hydrating rose mud masque done with warm towels, and finally a
relaxing massage with warm stones and herbal therapy lotion before the polish application.

Classic Pedicure
Treat your worn and tired feet to some classic careful attention. Includes a soak, foot inspection, nail shaping, expert cuticle care, callus reduction, exfoliating scrub and relaxology massage done with a moisturizing lotion. Your choice of wonderful scented lotions and scrubs or unscented.

"Instant Dry" Magic Pedicure with Gel Polish
Shiny, long-lasting UV light cured soak off gel polishes that are completely dry upon completion of your service. Toenails are trimmed and filed, cuticles cared for and then the special polish application. No foot soaking can be done before this service - however, a full pedicure can be completed as a "reverse pedicure".
$15 extra with any pedicure service
We recommend a Pedi-Quik ($50) or a Classic Pedicure ($58). The full Classic Pedicure service is performed in reverse - polish application first, then soak, callus reduction, scrub and relaxology massage.
Indulgent Luxury Spa Pedicures
Spa pedicures include luxuriously scented products to enhance the service. All include a soak, nail shaping with cuticle care, callus reduction, an exfoliating scrub, foot masque, relaxology massage and polish expertly applied.

Footlogix Pedicure or the Footlogix Power Pedicure
Don't have pretty feet anymore? Extremely cracked and callused skin that just won't go away? Consider the Footlogix pedicure. Footlogix is a leading foot care product line with scientific breakthroughs for dry skin. The entire pedicure will be completed using Footlogix products.
The pedicure begins with a refreshing Footlogix Foot Deodorant Spray on the feet, removal of polish and an inspection. The inspection helps determine which Footlogix products will be used during your service. Feet are then soaked in Footlogix Foot Soak anti-fungal foot bath consisting of aloe vera, marigold, vitamin E, borage and urea. Feet are dried and Footlogix Callus Off softener is applied. This is a deep penetrating pre-treatment for hyperkeratosis (thick calluses), fissures, cracks, and corns. Toenails are cut, then filed and cuticles addressed while Callus Off is penetrating. Calluses are reduced with a foot file. A foot and lower leg
massage is done with Footlogix Professional Massage Formula. Polish is applied.
Footlogix pedicures every 4-8 weeks and some home care can help restore your feet to their "softer side".

Footlogix Power Pedicure includes an extra 15 minutes of specialized nail care and callus reduction work. Some detail work may be done with an electric file, diamond bits and sanding bands. This pedicure is only performed by our Certified Master Pedicurist, Medical Nail Technician, Advanced Nail Techncian.

Diabetic Pedicure
All products used in the diabetic pedicure are in the Footlogix Pediceutical line. The Footlogix company is a pioneer in advanced foot care technology for diabetics.
The feet and calves are looked over, ensuring there are no cuts, infections, and no broken skin. Polish is removed, and the feet are sprayed with Footlogix Foot Deodorant Spray to eliminate bacteria. Feet are then soaked for 5 minutes only, in tepid water (no hotter than 90 degrees) with the Footlogix Foot Soak. Feet are patted dry. Footlogix Callus Off is sprayed on the feet to soften cuticles. While cuticles are softening, toenails are trimmed straight across and filed very carefully so as not to abrade any skin. Cuticles are then cleaned, but cannot be trimmed or pushed back as this could cause injury and result in infection. We do not use foot files or any type of scrubs during a diabetic pedicure, as they are also advised against by foot doctors. Next, Footlogix Professional Massage Formula is applied to the tops and bottoms of the feet only, avoiding the spaces between the toes so as not to trap moisture and cause the skin to break down. A very gentle foot and leg massage is done, stroking toward the heart. Then polish application.

Clip and File
Nothing fancy, but if you can't reach your toes easily, or don't have great cutting and shaping skills when it comes to your toes, we are happy to do it for you. Feet are sprayed with "Germinator Anti-Bacterial Spray" and toenails are cut and filed to a healthy length. No polish application.
$15 (20 minutes)

We're sorry, but we cannot give anyone that has plantar warts on their hands or feet a manicure or pedicure. Plantar warts are highly contagious and can be transmitted to our technicians.
