Welcome to our Pennsylvania bed and breakfast. We want our B&B near Allentown to be a relaxing and enjoyable "hotel alternative" experience for everyone. It is our home, and we welcome you to be our guests! Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our list of policies:

Confirming a Reservation For the Inn

Any reservations that are being paid by Gift Card, Gift Certificate or Check must be made by Phone Only -  please do not use the "Online Reservation" process as this immediately charges your credit card.

A confirmed reservation for a one-night stay must be paid in full, including applicable taxes. A confirmed reservation for two or more nights requires a 50% deposit of the total stay, including taxes. Deposits may be made by mailing a check, using a gift card/certificate (if applicable), or by credit card. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. If you would like to make a deposit by check, we must receive the check for deposit here at the Stone House Inn within 4 days from the date the reservation was made or the reservation will be removed from our reservation schedule. A reservation deposit by check, gift card or gift certificate must also be guaranteed by a valid credit card. We will email or mail a confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit. The balance of your stay is due upon arrival.

Any guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the entire length of their stay.

We cater to the comfort, privacy and security of our registered guests. Guest visitors are only permitted on the property with prior innkeeper approval. Non-lodging visitors to the inn are welcome to visit until 10pm.

If you are booking a stay specifically to indulge in spa services, please email or call to check on spa availability before making your lodging reservations as the spa can possibly be booked weeks in advance.

Spa appointments are subject to cancellation policies. For the convenience of our lodging guests, an 18% gratuity is added to any spa services that you schedule during your stay. Stone House Spa and Salon hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 8pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Minimum Stays for the Inn

We do not require a two-night minimum stay on weekends. However, during the larger car show events that take place in the park located behind the inn, we have a three-night minimum stay required. Our prices and policies may vary for special events, holiday periods, and group bookings. Contact Jan, the innkeeper, with any questions.

Weddings/Small Events

Unfortunately, we are a small property and cannot accommodate wedding events, bridal showers or baby showers. Guest rooms and the inn are not available for bridal party wedding preparations and photographs without the innkeeper's approval.

Cancellation Policy for the Inn

Making a reservation at a bed & breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy:

• Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation must be made 14 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund. All cancellations are subject to a $20.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night.

• Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation made 13 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival will only receive a refund if we can re-book the room to other guests, minus a $20.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. Naturally, we will make every effort to re-rent the room and return your deposit.

Please note that small inns of our size would not be able to remain in business if we did not adhere to our cancellation policy. Therefore, there are no exceptions to our cancellation policy, whether it be for reasons including but not limited to sickness, family emergency, funerals, airline cancellations or weather. With this in mind, guests may want to consider the purchase of trip cancellation insurance which is available during our online reservation process or also commonly available from travel agents, insurance agents or via the internet at such websites as www.insuremytrip.com or www.accessamerica.  In the event of last minute cancellations we are not able to issue a refund and we are not able to issue a gift certificate for a future stay.
Please remember, we are making a commitment to you and you are making one to us. We are assuming when you book a reservation with us that you have done so only when you are certain of your travel plans.
 
Winter Weather Reservation Suggestion - We are located 5 miles from a ski area. Some guests want to stay with us because we have snow! As long as the roads are open during the winter months, and there are no advisories from the State Highway Patrol to stay off of the roads, we expect our guests to honor their reservations. We are more than happy to take last minute reservations if you would like to stay but are concerned about committing to a reservation far in advance due to weather conditions. Follow the weather reports, and when all is clear call us!! 

• Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. No-shows are also responsible for full payment of their entire reservation.

A group booking of two or more rooms requires a 30-day notice of cancellation.

Major holiday reservations require a 30-day notice of cancellation. This includes the Valentine's Day holiday period, Good Friday through Easter Sunday, the July 4th holiday period, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving and the Friday and Saturday following, and Christmas Eve continuing through New Years Eve.

Car show events also require a 30-day notice of cancellation. These include the Antique Truck Show, the Das Awkscht Fescht (The August Festival) and the Wheels of Time Custom Car Show. Car show deposits to confirm a reservation are due by February 1st, and the balances due to pay the rooms in full are due 30 days prior to show dates.

Rates and policies are subject to change. Reservations and gift certificates are only transferable with innkeeper approval.

Smoking & Candle Burning

Due to the historic nature of our building, and for the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow smoking or candle burning in any of our guest rooms. Courteous smoking is only permitted outside. Inn guests smoking in the house will be charged a minimum $200 fee and up to return any rooms to a non-smoking status.

Additional Breakfast Guests

If you would like to have any non-registered guests join you for breakfast there is an additional charge per person, and advance notice to the innkeeper is required.

Children and Pets at the Inn

We welcome well-behaved children over 12. However, any children ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

We regret that we are not able to accommodate guest pets. We do have two older kitties named Ernie and Esther that reside in the spa portion of the building, but they are usually hiding somewhere and sleep all day. We also have a ten year old LhasaPoo named Chico, and a six year old English Bulldog named Sunny.

Check-In

Check-in time is between 3pm and 6pm.

Please make advance arrangements with us for a later arrival. We offer a stress free self check-in if you need to arrive after 6pm. We will let you know all of the details!

 

Check-Out

Check-out is 11am.

Late check-outs are available by prior arrangement only. Each hour, or portion of an hour, is subject to a $25 fee. We're sorry, but we usually cannot accommodate last minute late check-outs.
